Are E-Cigs Safe?

Clinical trials have been carried out in New Zealand by Dr. Murray Laugeson of Health New Zealand. The test found that the E-Cig are very safe relative to cigarettes and also safe in absolute terms on all measurements we have applied. Using micro -electronics it vaporizes separately for each puff. Very small quantities of nicotine dissolved in propylene glycol two small well-known molecules with excellent safety profiles, into a fine aerosol. Each puff contains one third to one half the nicotine in a tobacco cigarettes puff. The cartridge liquid is tobacco free and no combustion occurs.

What is the Smoke that is released?

The smoke that is released is simply water based vapor which evaporates into the air within seconds leaving no visual residue or smell. 

Do they taste like traditional cigarettes?

The e-liquid come in many different flavors depending on preference. You can get flavors such as chocolate, strawberry, mint, vanilla to the traditional flavors of tobacco or menthol.

Can you use an E-Cig anywhere?

The E-Cig do not burn or produce any actual burning smoke and it is a non hazardous device. Some airlines will allow you to use E-Cigs such as Ryan Air who actually sell disposable ones on the plane. You can legally smoke them anywhere.

Are E-cigs cheaper than traditional smoking products?

Yes after the initial investment of purchasing the device, E-cigs are considerably cheaper than smoking traditional tobacco products. Users can save up to 85% on average smoking costs.  If you normally smoke one carton a week, you will save $1200.00 per year.

How often will I need to buy new components?

On average smoking habits you will need to replace your battery about every 3-4 months and your atomizers every 3-4 weeks unless you have an atomizer that has a replaceable wick.  You will replace the wick every week or two. By being an electric devices products can vary. Even replacing the components, it will still work out considerably cheaper.

What does E-Liquid contain?

Some E-liquids contain PG propylene glycol, nicotine, flavorings and pure water, while others contain VG Vegetable Glycerin, nicotine, flavorings and pure water. You can also get a 50 / 50 mix i.e. PG and VG. We sell the 50/50 mix.

How much nicotine is contained in my liquid?

It depends on the cartridge you are using, however typically these are the strengths and equivalents.

  • 30mg nicotine equivalent to extra strong cigarettes
  • 20mg nicotine equivalent to regular cigarettes
  • 10mg nicotine equivalent to light cigarettes
  • 0mg nicotine equivalent to no nicotine
